Ordering Books

If you would like to order some books, please email me and we can discuss details. At present Porcupine cannot offer you an online shopping basket, but I hope this is not too much of a trial.

Making Payment

All prices are in UK pounds Sterling. I can accept payment in Sterling: cheques; Postal Orders etc., in the business name (Porcupine Books) or my own name (Brian Ameringen), or in US Dollars in my own name (£1=$2.00).

Please note that if you are resident in Eire or Canada, your local Post Office should be able to issue a cheque in pounds Sterling on your behalf.

I can also accept Mastercard and Visa Credit Card payments , but regret not Debit Card payments. When paying by credit card I will need to know: Type of Card, Card Number, Date of Expiry, Three-digit Security Code and the full name as it appears on the card. I will also need the address your Credit Card bill is sent to, and the address you would like the package sent to (if different). Please note that I do not have a secure server - please email me so we can discuss a method of conveying this information. All prices in this catalogue are Net, and my despatch costs will be added New Customers, not paying by Credit Card, will be sent a Proforma Invoice for the books which will include an estimated postage cost, to be settled in full before they are despatched (this Proforma may be issued by Email). No reply means, sorry, book(s) sold. All books are returnable within 2 weeks of receipt for a full credit or refund, provided they are in the same condtion as when they were despatched.

Despatch

Cost for parcels despatched to UK address is according to Post Office / Parcel Force published tariffs (Max. 20Kg.). Parcels despatched to the U. S. (Min. 2Kg.) using airfreight/courier services will cost approx. USD 8.9/Kg and take 7-10 days but cannot be sent to P.O. Box numbers and are despatched every 3 months after Catalogue orders have been received. Other parcels will be charged at actual Postal Rates. Please indicate if Air or Surface Post required. There are no charges for packing or packing material, not are there any 'hidden' extra charges.
